Rooms and locations

Locations let you group your items by where they physically live — a room, a storage area, a box, or anything else you want to name. Once assigned, you can tap a location to see everything inside it.

Create a location

1. Open Locations from the navigation.
2. Type a name in the field at the top — "Living room", "Storage unit", "Office", whatever fits.
3. Tap Add.

The location appears in the list immediately, with a count of items inside (zero until you assign something).

Assign items to a location

When adding or editing an item, pick the location from the location field in the form. You can also move items between locations by editing them later.

View a location

Tap any location in the list to open it. You'll see a grid of everything assigned there. From that page you can also:

• Rename the location (tap the pencil icon, available on QR-labeled boxes).
• Scan a sticker to link it here — attach a third-party QR sticker so scanning it jumps straight to this location. See Reuse a QR sticker you already own.

Delete a location

On the Locations list, tap the trash icon next to a location and confirm. Deleting a location does not delete the items inside — they are unassigned but stay in your inventory.

Good to know

• Location names must be unique (case-insensitive).
• QR box labels generate their own locations automatically. Those show up here too once you rename them.
• Items without a location still appear in your main inventory list.
