On the phone: Face ID, share-to-Manifest, and Siri reminders
Features that only exist in the iOS and Android apps: biometric lock, sharing receipts in, and Siri or widget care reminders.
Some features only exist in the iOS and Android apps. They rely on native device capabilities that are not available in a browser.
Biometric app lock
Open Settings, then tap Account. If your device supports biometrics and they are set up, you will see an App Lock toggle. Turn it on to require Face ID (or your device's equivalent) whenever Manifest opens.
This setting only appears on the native app. It is not available on the web.
Share a receipt or photo into Manifest
On iPhone, you can share an image or PDF from Mail, Photos, or Files directly into Manifest using the share sheet. Tap Share, find Manifest in the list, and it opens the add-item flow with the file pre-loaded.
This works for receipt screenshots, product photos, or any PDF you want to attach to an item.
Care reminders in Siri, widgets, and Control Center
Care reminders you set in the app sync to iOS so they surface in more places:
- Siri — where you can check or complete reminders by voice.
- Widgets — on your home or lock screen, where you can see what's due.
- Control Center — where you can mark the next reminder done without unlocking your phone.
- Spotlight — where reminder titles are searchable and tap through to the item.
These integrations update automatically when you add or complete reminders in the app. They are iOS-only and require the native app.
See Care and upkeep reminders for how to create and manage reminders.
