Forward a receipt and let Manifest read it
Every account gets a private forwarding address. Send a receipt to it and Manifest turns it into an item for you to confirm.
Every Manifest account gets its own private forwarding address. Send a purchase confirmation or receipt to it, and Manifest reads the brand, model, price, warranty, and even the retailer's return window straight off the email and turns it into an item for you to confirm. It is the fastest way to log something you bought online without typing anything.
Find your forwarding address
- Open Settings.
- Tap Receipt forwarding.
- Your address is shown at the top. Tap to copy it.
The address is yours alone. Anything sent to it lands in your account and nobody else's.
Forward a receipt
Forward the order confirmation from your email app to that address, the same way you would forward any email. Amazon, Apple, retailer order confirmations, and most emailed receipts all work. Within a few minutes the item shows up in your review queue for you to confirm or fix.
You can also add the address to your contacts as "Manifest" so it is one tap to forward.
What Manifest pulls out
- The item's name, brand, model, and category
- What you paid and the purchase date
- The serial number, when the receipt shows one
- Warranty length, when the receipt mentions it
- The return window for that retailer, so you can see how long you have to send it back
- The receipt itself, attached to the item
Whatever it extracts is a draft. You review it before it joins your inventory, so you can correct anything it misread.
If a receipt does not show up
- Confirm you sent it to the exact address on your Receipt forwarding screen. A single wrong character and it will not arrive.
- Give it a few minutes; busy inboxes can lag.
- Check the item did not already land in your review queue.
