Turn on notifications
Get notified about recalls, expiring warranties, return windows, and care reminders — and how this differs on web and the app.
Manifest can push you alerts for things with deadlines or actions required. You pick which types you want.
What you can get notified about
- Return window closing (before a return deadline expires)
- Warranty expiring (before a warranty runs out)
- Product recalls (when a recall is found for one of your items)
- Trial ending (before your 7-day trial expires)
- Receipt processed (when a forwarded receipt is parsed and ready to review)
- Care reminders (when an upkeep task you set is due)
How to turn them on
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to Notifications.
- Tap Enable Push Notifications and approve the prompt.
- Toggle individual types on or off.
Web vs. the iPhone app
On the web, notifications go through your browser. On desktop this works as soon as you enable them. On iPhone, Safari does not support push notifications for websites unless you install the app to your Home Screen first. Open Safari, tap the Share button, tap "Add to Home Screen," then launch Manifest from there.
In the native iPhone app, push is handled by iOS directly. Enable it from Settings → Notifications. To turn notifications off entirely later, go to iPhone Settings → Manifest → Notifications.
Good to know
- If you dismissed the permission prompt and notifications are now blocked, you'll need to re-enable them in your device or browser settings. The app can't re-prompt once permission has been denied.
- Notifications are available on all plans.
- Care reminder details are in Care and upkeep reminders.
- Recall alert details are in Recall and safety alerts.
