Estimate what an item is worth
Get an AI estimate of an item's current value, with both replacement and resale figures.
Open any item in your inventory and you'll find an Estimated value card on the detail page. Tap Estimate and Manifest searches current used-market listings for that item and returns a resale figure based on brand, model, age, and any notes you've added. Useful when you're pricing something to sell or want a a rough figure for insurance.
This feature counts as one AI action from your monthly allowance and requires a paid plan (Vault or Unlimited).
How to get an estimate
- Open an item from your inventory.
- Scroll to the Estimated value card.
- Tap Estimate. The search takes a few seconds.
The card shows a midpoint resale value, a price range (e.g. $120–$180), and links to the marketplace listings the estimate is drawn from. Tap a source link to open the listing, or copy it with the copy button.
Tap Refresh any time to pull a fresh estimate.
What affects the result
Items with brand and model filled in get better results. The estimate also uses purchase date to judge age. Confidence is rated high, medium, or low depending on how many current listings were found. A low-confidence result usually means not enough matching comps were found, which tends to widen the price range.
Good to know
- This is a resale estimate, not an appraisal. It reflects current used-market prices, which is different from what an insurer would pay or what a professional would value the item at.
- Insurance policies typically use replacement cost value (RCV), not resale value. See ACV vs RCV and the calculator if you need to understand the difference.
- If Manifest can't find enough matching listings, it still returns an estimate, but confidence will be low.
