Add a stock photo when you don't have one

If you don't have a photo of an item, Manifest can generate a representative image to stand in its place. It is in the photo section of the item detail view.

How to use it

1. Open the item.
2. Tap the option to generate a stock photo. It appears when the item has no photo and you have AI actions available.
3. The search query is pre-filled from the item's brand, model, and name. Adjust it if needed, then run the search.
4. Manifest generates an image and applies it to the item.

The generated image is stored in your account just like a photo you uploaded. You can replace it any time by adding a real photo.

What the images look like

Manifest generates stylized pixel-art renderings, not product photography. They are meant as placeholders to help you recognize items in your inventory at a glance, not for posting as listing photos.

Good to know

• Generating a stock image uses one AI action.
• The feature is available on trial and paid plans; it's not available after a trial has expired without a subscription.
• If AI actions are exhausted, the option won't appear or will offer to add a Boost.
• You can also generate a stock photo while reviewing a draft receipt, using the Generate button in the draft's photo section.
